PF-64

The 1913 cent from Philadelphia is fairly common for the period. The proofs of 1909-16 were struck in a matte finish (shown here) and display all the details of V D Brenner's design. When proof production resumed in 1936-42, it was with a mirror finish and much of the fine detail had already been lost from the hubs.

Proof Mintage: 76,532,352 plus 2,983 proofs.

Specification: 3.11 g, bronze, 19 mm diameter.

Catalog number: KM 132.
