United States 1910 cent

The 1909, 1910 and 1911 cents from Philadelphia are the most common issues of the pre-WW I period. The proofs of 1909-16 were struck in a matte finish (shown here) and display all the details of V D Brenner's design. When proof production resumed in 1936-42, it was with a mirror finish and much of the fine detail had already been lost from the hubs.
