This specimen was lot 3274 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $89.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Muhammad V, 1909-1918, 40 para, AH1327 year 8, KM-766, lustrous, a superb example! MS66." This type was struck years 8 and 9 and is common. The forty para, which competed with the silver kuruş, was not struck consistently. An earlier type (KM 766) was struck years 3-5 and an issue of Muhammad VI (KM 828) completes the series.
