Stephen Album sale 47, lot 382

This specimen was lot 382 in Stephen Album sale 47 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Mahmet V, 1909-1918, AV 100 kurush, Kostantiniye, AH1327 year 3, choice AU." This type was struck years 1 thru 7, before Turkey plunged into World War One. Commemorative gold and silver coins exist for year 3, marking the sultan's visits to Kosovo, Manastir and Salonika.

Recorded mintage: 4,627,115.
