This specimen was lot 381 in Stephen Album sale 47 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Abdul Hamid II, 1876-1909, AV 100 kurush monnaie de luxe, Kostantiniye, AH1293 year 32, pierced (as usual), lovely EF." The monnaie de luxe was a broader, thinner version of the regular circulation gold coinage (KM 730) and was intended for jewelry. This 100 kurush was struck years 23-43. Nearly all survivors are holed or soldered.
