This specimen was lot 76478 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for $1,680. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY. Ottoman Empire. 20 Kurush, AH 1277 Year 9 (1868). Constantinople Mint. Abdul Aziz. NGC MS-62. A bright and appealing Mint State example, delivering rich luster and sharp details throughout. From the Richard Margolis Collection." This type was struck years 1 thru 15 for the sultan and most dates, including this one, are common.
