Steve Album sale 54, lot 476

This specimen was lot 476 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $2,160. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Süleyman II, 1687-1691, AR 1/2 kurush, Kostantiniye, AH1099, superb strike, a nearly mint state example with original luster, PCGS graded AU58, RR, ex Kenneth A. Bovenkamp Collection, ex Stephen Album Auction 9, Lot 125." This is the only issue of this denomination by this ruler, responsible for the loss of Hungary to the infidels.
