Starting in AH 1308 / 1891 AD, all Tunisian coins began showing both Arabic and French legends, and the denominations were decimalized. All minting during the French protectorate period occurred in Paris (mint mark "A"). This specimen was lot 1694 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "TUNISIA: Muhammad al-Hadi Bey, 1902-1906, AE 10 centimes, 1904//AH1322, a lovely specimen! NGC graded MS65 RB." This type was struck in 1903-04. Other ten centimes struck during the French protectorate include KM 236 (1907-17), KM 254 (1926), KM 259 (1931-38) and KM 271 (1945).
