Sincona sale 31, lot 149

This specimen was lot 149 in Sincona sale 31 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 850 CHF (about US$1,009 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "OTTOMAN TUNIS | Abdul Aziz (1277-1293ah/1861-1876ce) 8 kharub 1288ah (1871ce) AR R Fdc." This type is noted for AH 1287-1293. It superseded a similar type (KM 160) of AH 1281-1286, which was 0.900 fine silver.

Specification: 1.80 g, 0.835 fine silver, this specimen 1.52 g.
