This specimen was lot 24138 in Heritage sale 3032 (Chicago, April 2014), where it sold for $3,055. The catalog description[1] noted, "Trautson. Franz Eusebius Taler 1715, MS64 NGC. Two-year type. A majestic representative of the scarce taler with pinpoint striking definition from the dentils to the central motifs and a gorgeous blend of iridescent blue, purple, yellow and rose-gold toning on both sides. Gleaming reflectivity in the obverse fields serves to further boost the appeal of this near-Gem. Ex: Millennia Collection (5/2008; Lot 515)."
