Tranquebar 1781 2 royaliner
This specimen was lot 776 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "DANISH INDIA: Christian VII, 1766-1808, AR 2 royaliner, Tranquebar, 1781, crowned C7, lovely strike, incorrectly called 1 royalin on the slab, but the size and thickness, as well as enough of the "e" after "royalin" is visible to confirm the denomination, PCGS graded EF45, ex Solar Collection." The SCWC notes that the royalin was worth eighty cash or one-eighth of a rupee. This type was struck steadily 1767-76, 1779-89, 1792-99 and 1807 but is rare. The Danish sold out to the British in 1845.
