This specimen was lot 41165 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $4,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND. Taler, 1630-II. Torun Mint. Sigismund III. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, EF Details. Some extensive cleaning marks are noted, but this crown otherwise retains solid overall detail and remains largely without any coloring or toning. From the Collection of Kazmier Wysocki, former mayor of Hackensack, New Jersey." This type was struck at Thorn ("CIVIT·THORVNENSIS·") 1630-32. This example realized 3½ times the catalog value. The regular royal thaler (Dav-4316) had different arms on the reverse.
