Thorn (in the C. of Hoorn) in 1559, from Shepherd's atlas

This specimen was lot 3081 in Sincona sale 20 (Zürich, October 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Taler 1563. Sehr schön. (very fine.)" Davenport lists this type for 1561 and 1563. The last rijksdaalder from this locale is dated 1570.
