This specimen was lot 33901 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $1,500. The catalog description[1] noted, "Rama IX gold Proof 2500 Baht BE 2530 (1987) PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC. A superb World Wildlife fund piece depicting an elephant." This NCLT was issued by Thailand to honor the 25th anniversary of the World Wildlife Fund by featuring the Asian elephant. The next issue of this denomination would be in 2000 for the Year of the Dragon.
