This specimen was lot 24629 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $2,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "THAILAND. 5000 Baht, BE 2520 (1977). NGC MS-66. Struck to commemorate the 50th birthday of King Rama IX. A lovely example of this SCARCE commemorative, with full cartwheel luster and frosty devices." This was only the second issue of this denomination.
