Sincona sale 70, part of lot 3863

This specimen was part of lot 3863 in Sincona sale 70 (Zürich, May 2021), which sold for 3,000 CHF (about US$3,950 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | Confederation. 20 Franken 2020 B, Bern. Roger Federer. Lot von 50 Exemplaren. Polierte Platte. In Originaletuis mit Zertifikaten. (Switzerland, twenty franks of 2020, Bern mint, Roger Federer, lot of fifty pieces. Choice Proof, In original boxes with certificates.)"

This type was struck to the standard of the obsolete William Tell silver five francs, last struck in 1968. NCLT's have been struck to this module since 1991.

Recorded mintage: 100,000 "BU" plus 10,000 proofs.

Specification: 20 g, 0.835 fine silver, lettered edge, 32.8 mm diameter.
