This specimen was lot 35134 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $750. The catalog description[1] noted, "Switzerland: Confederation Franc 1903-B MS66 PCGS, Bern mint. A simply beautiful and satiny gem, with an effortless cartwheel luster, and a delightful pale apricot toning throughout. From the Feeling Good Collection." This type was struck at the Bern mint 1874-1967. The design is still in use today tho the coin is now copper-nickel. This specimen is struck to the standard of the French franc of 1866-1920. This date is somewhat scarce. Prior to confederation in 1850, each Swiss canton issued its own coins.

Recorded mintage: 1,000,000 plus specimens.

Specification: 5 g, 0.835 fine silver, 23.2 mm diameter, reeded edge.
