Stack's Bowers October 2021 Collector's Choice sale, lot 72406

This specimen was lot 72406 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $62. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Krona, 1915-W. Stockholm Mint. Gustaf V. NGC MS-62. This nicely preserved example exhibits bold devices with lustrous surfaces displaying light attractive patina accentuated by areas of richer coloration near the edges." This type, featuring the new king Gustav V, was issued 1910-18 and 1923-24. Most of the dates are readily available in grades up to Extremely Fine.

Recorded mintage: 1,415,956.

Specification: 7.5 g, 0.800 fine silver, 25 mm diameter.
