This specimen was lot 11406 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €384 (about US$400). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 3 Daler Silvermynt (Riksdaler), 1773 - AL. Gustav III. NGC AU Details--Reverse Scratched. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." Altho this type of 1771-75 is marked "3 D[aler] SM [sylbermynt]", it is universally known as a riksdaler. While later riksdalers of Gustav III, such as Dav-1735, are common, this one is scarce.

Specifications: 29.25 g, 0.878 fine silver, 41 mm diameter, edge lettered MANIBUS NE LAEDAR AVARIS; this specimen 28.96 g.
