This specimen was lot 4335 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it sold for $881. The catalog description[1] noted, "Sweden. Riksdaler, 1617. Gustaf Adolf, 1611-1632. Jehovah over crowned half figure left. Reverse: Christ standing with orb, crowned arms at left. Toned. NGC graded Extremely Fine, Details (Tooled). Ex: Purchased from Louis H. Collins by private treaty in 1983." This riksdaler was issued 1617 in several varieties. It is expensive but more available than other riksdalers of that year (Dav-4617, -4514).
