This specimen was lot 11006 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Copenhagen, June 2026), where it sold for €244 (about US$281). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Fyrk, 1528. Stockholm Mint. Gustav Vasa. NGC AU Details--Environmental Damage. Sharp example for the type. From the L.E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale - 1922). Ex: J. Siökrona Collection, purchased en bloc by the Royal Danish Coins and Medals Collection and the duplicates sold at auction in 1883." Gustav Vasa permanently separated Sweden from Denmark-Norway and ended the Kalmar Union. His reign is considered the beginning of modern Swedish history. Among other reforms, he made one gyllen = 72 fÿrk.
