This specimen was lot 73548 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, June 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWAZILAND. 50 Cents, 1986. PCGS SPECIMEN-65 Gold Shield. A radiant Gem, this steel gray specimen features exquisite luster abounding throughout the fields. Ex: Kings Norton Mint Collection." This type of 1986 and 1993 continued the module of the fifty cents struck under his predecessor, Sobhuza II. A fifty cents with a redesigned obverse (KM 52) was struck 1996-2007.

Recorded mintage: 1,000,000.

Specification: 8.90 g, copper-nickel, 29.45 mm diameter.
