This specimen was lot 627 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $450. The catalog description[1] noted, "BENGAL: Ikhtiyar al-Din Ghazi Shah, in East Bengal, 1349-1352, AR tanka, Hadrat Jalal Sunargaon, AH752, ruler cited as al-sultan al-a'zam / ikhtiyar al-dunya wa'l-din / abu'l-muzaffar ghazishah / al-sultan ibn al-sultan, with his name ghazi shah written as a single word, rare, two testmarks on reverse, lightly toned with traces of original luster, Choice XF." Wikipedia comments,
"Shamsuddin Ilyas Shah (Persian: شمس الدین الیاس شاه, Bengali: শামসুদ্দীন ইলিয়াস শাহ) was the founder of the Bengal Sultanate and Ilyas Shahi dynasty. The Ilyas Shahi Dynasty ruled Bengal for 145 years.... Ikhtiyaruddin Ghazi Shah (Bengali: ইখতিয়ারউদ্দিন গাজী শাহ, Persian: اختیار الدین غازی شاه; reigned 1349–1352) was an independent sultan of Sonargaon. In 1352 Ilyas Shah, independent Sultan of Satgaon, who already captured the Lakhnauti Sultanate, attacked Sonargaon. In the battle Ikhtiyaruddin was defeated and killed."
