This specimen was lot 3929 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "SRI LANKA: Democratic Socialist Republic, AR 2000 rupees, 2006, Visakha Vidyalaya Centenary, selectively gilt, mintage of only 1,000 pieces, Choice Proof, R." Visakha Vidyalaya is a girls' school in Colombo, est. 1917.

Recorded mintage: 1,000 proofs.

Specification: 28.28 g, 0.925 fine silver, 38.61 mm diameter.
