Sincona sale 76, lot 1568

This specimen was lot 1568 in Sincona sale 76 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 17,000 CHF (about US$20,635 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Sprinzenstein, Grafen. Johann Ehrenreich, 1667-1729. Dukat 1717, Augsburg. Stempelschneider Philipp Heinrich Müller. Von grösster Seltenheit. Vorzüglich-FDC. NGC UNC Details. Rückseite minimal gereinigt. (Austria, county of Sprinzenstein, John Frederick, 1667-1729, ducat of 1717, Augsburg mint. Of the highest rarity, Extremely fine-uncirculated, Reverse minimally cleaned.)"

The SCWC lists a thaler for 1717 from this prince but no ducat. The mint right was granted to the prince for his services to the emperor.
