Sprinzenstein 1705 thaler Dav-1198
This specimen was lot 1999 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €2,000 (about US$2,832 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HABSBURGISCHE ERBLANDE-ÖSTERREICH · DIE ÖSTERREICHISCHEN STANDESHERREN, SPRINZENSTEIN, GRAFEN Franz Ignaz, *1639, †1705. Taler 1705, Augsburg. RR Feine Patina, kl. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand, min. justiert, fast vorzüglich. (Austrian states, couty of Sprinzenstein, Francis Ignatius, d. 1705, thaler of 1705, Augsburg mint. Very rare, fine patina, minor planchet defect on the edge, light adjustment marks, about extremely fine.)"
This and Dav-1198 are the only issues of this Austrian prince during the eighteenth century.
