This specimen was lot 46008 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "SCOTLAND. Penny, ND (1371-90). Edinburgh Mint. Robert II. PCGS VF-35 Gold Shield. Darkly toned with iridescence in the protected areas. Weakness obscures a portion of the beaded circle on both sides. A thin split in the flan is noted at 6 o'clock. Well centered and attractive with glossy surfaces. From the Loch Ness Collection."
