This specimen was lot 37375 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "SCOTLAND. 1/2 Groat (2 Pence), ND (1367-71). Edinburgh Mint. David II. PCGS EF-40. Obverse: Crowned bust left, scepter at left with star on handle; Reverse: Long cross with mullets in angles. From the Richard August Collection." In medieval England, the halfgroat was two pence; we believe that in Scotland it was four pence.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.99 g, silver, 24 mm diameter.
