This specimen was lot 967 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $587.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "SAUDI ARABIA: Khalid bin Abdulaziz, 1975-1982, 10 halala, AH1397, only 2 examples known, PCGS graded Specimen-66, RRR, ex King's Norton Mint Collection." In 1963, the coinage was reformed so that 100 halala = one riyal and the ghirsh was dropped. This type was accompanied by five halala (KM 53), twenty-five halala (KM 55), fifty halala (KM 56) and 100 halala (KM 52).
