This specimen was lot 31196 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $2,520. The catalog description[1] noted, "Saudi Arabia: Abd Al-Aziz Bin Sa'ud gold 4 Pounds ND (1945-1946) AU58 NGC, Philadelphia mint. Produced and utilized for payment to the Saudi government for oil rights. Lustrous and nearly without any loss of detail in circulation owing to the recessed nature of the struck design." The Philadelphia mint also struck gold disks of one sovereign weight in 1947 for the same purpose.
