This specimen was lot 32284 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $13,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "Italy: Sardinia. Vittorio Emanuele II 2 Lire 1854-B MS66 PCGS, Turin mint. A truly stellar offering of this scarce type, made yet more so conditionally speaking by its standout preservation. A dominant undercurrent of lilac carries throughout the surfaces, with strong elements of iridescent blue coloration displayed throughout the reverse legends. No doubt a coin for the discriminating collector for whom condition and rarity are of paramount importance." This type was struck at the Turin mint 1850-56 and 1860 but is rare.
