Sardinia 1852(t) B 20 lire
This specimen was lot 1538 in Jean Elsen sale 135 (Brussels, December 2017), where it sold for €220 (about US$305 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ITALIE, SAVOIE et SARDAIGNE, Victor Emmanuel II (1849-1861), AV 20 lire, 1852B, Turin. Très Beau à Superbe. (kingdom of Sardinia, Victor Emanuel II, 1849-61, gold twenty lire of 1852, Turin mint. Very Fine - Extremely Fine.)"
This type was struck at the Turin and Genoa mints 1850-61 during the reign of Victorio Emanuele II of Italy, while he was merely King of Sardinia (1849-60). It is struck to the same standard as the contemporary French twenty francs. It is, however, reasonably common.
