This specimen was lot 73153 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $180. The catalog description[1] noted, "SARAWAK. 5 Cents, 1913-H. Heaton Mint. NGC AU-58. A sharply struck and barely toned coin, with a few minor die cracks on the obverse." Sarawak, a British colony on the northwest coast of Borneo, was ruled by a dynasty of white rajahs from 1841 to 1946. This type was issued 1900 and 1908-15 from Heaton. It is reasonably available in low grade but expensive in nice condition. It is accompanied by silver ten, twenty and fifty cents.

Recorded mintage: 100,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 1.35 g, 0.800 fine silver, .034 troy oz ASW.
