Sincona sale 33, lot 3173

This specimen was lot 3173 in Sincona sale 33 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 850 CHF (about US$1,009 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Salzburg, Erzbistum. Paris Graf Lodron, 1619-1653 Dukat 1634. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, archbishopric of Salzburg, Paris, count of Lodron, 1619-53, ducat of 1634. Very fine-extremely fine.)"

This type is listed for 1620-53 and is among the common ducats of the seventeenth century.

Recorded mintage: unknown but rare.
