This specimen was lot 1141 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 1,800 CHF (about US$2,389 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA | Salzburg, Erzbistum. Ernst von Bayern, 1540-1554. Dukat 1543. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Fast FDC. (archbishopric of Salzburg, Ernest of Bavaria, 1540-54, ducat of 1543. Rare in this condition, About uncirculated.)"
This type is listed in Friedberg for 1540-54. It, along with Fr-600, Fr-614 and Fr-618, are among the most common ducats of the sixteenth century.
