This specimen was lot 75302 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $960. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Denga, 1862-BM. Warsaw Mint. Alexander II. PCGS MS-63 Brown. Variety with toothed border. This lovely little is rich with some original ruddiness and when combined with the good strike is certain to ensure popularity amongst the many collectors of Russian pieces." The denga was the nickname for the half kopek. This type was struck 1855-67 at Warsaw (mintmark BM, shown here) and Ekaterinburg (mintmark EM). Dentilations were added to the rim in 1859 (Ekaterinburg) and 1861 (Warsaw). This example realized over seven times the catalog value in Uncirculated.

Recorded mintage: 1,036,000, the most common date.
