Rosenberg 1594 ducat Fr-113
This specimen was lot 3547 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 10,000 CHF (about US$15,072 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH Rosenberg, Herren, Peter Wok, 1539-1611. Dukat 1594, Reichenstein. Ausbringen der Reichensteiner Gruben. Sehr selten. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Austria, lordship of Rosenberg, Peter Wok, 1539-1611, ducat of 1594, Reichenstein mint, for the mines. Very rare, Very Fine-Extremely Fine.)"
The princely family of the Rosenbergs issued only a few gold coins in the 1590's before the line fell extinct in 1611. This type was also struck in 1593. The Reichenstein mint is in Silesia.
