This specimen was lot 1790 in Sincona sale 73 (Zürich, November 2021), where it sold for 2,200 CHF (about US$2,831 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ROMANIA. Republik, seit 1948. 5000 Lei 2000, Bukarest. Auf 2000 Jahre Christentum. Selten. Nur 1'000 Exemplare geprägt. Polierte Platte. Im Originaletui mit Zertifikat. (republic of Romania, since 1948, five thousand lei of 2000, Bucharest mint, on 2,000 years of Christianity. Rare. Only 1'000 pieces struck, Choice Proof. In original box with certificate.)"
