This specimen was lot 76163 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "ROMANIA. 10 Bani, 1955. Bucharest Mint. PCGS MS-66." This specimen was offered again as lot 75621 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $85. This type was struck by the communists 1955-56 and the 1955 is actually slightly scarce. Few wept in 1989 when the communists were overthrown and Nicolae Ceaușescu and his wife were executed.
