This specimen was lot 25738 in Heritage sale 3032 (Chicago, April 2014), where it sold for $4,700. The catalog description[1] noted, "Ferdinand I gold 25 Lei 1922, MS62 PCGS. A few marks in the fields are in-line with the grade. The rare coronation of Ferdinand I issue." This type is not listed in the regular SCWC. It was likely a presentation piece. It is difficult to imagine gold coins circulating in post-World War One Romania.
