This specimen was lot 3223 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $72. The catalog description[1] noted, "LIVONIA: Christina, 1632-1654, BI solidus, 1646, Riga Mint, an attractive example, PCGS graded MS62." This type was struck by the city of Riga 1635-54 while under Swedish occupation. It is common. One thaler was 48 solidi or schillings. The city later returned to Polish rule but was contested between Poland, Sweden and Russia for the next century, Russia emerging the eventual victor. Riga is today the capital of Latvia.
