This specimen was lot 1075 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 16,000 CHF (about US$21,143 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND Rantzau, Grafschaft, Christian, 1650-1663. Dukat 1656, Rantzau. Münzzeichen Kleeblatt hinter gekreuzten Zainhaken (Mathias Freude senior, Münzmeister in Hamburg 1637-1668). Sehr selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. Vorzüglich-FDC. Feine Goldpatina. (Germany, county of Rantzau, Christian, 1650-63, ducat of 1656, Rantzau mint. Very rare, especially in this condition, Extremely fine-uncirculated, Nice gold toning.)"

This rare type was also struck in 1655 and 1658. Rantzau is an insignificant locality in Holstein.
