Radhanpur 1867/AH1285 100 falus
This specimen was lot 719 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $390. The catalog description[1] noted, "RADHANPUR: Zorawar, 1825-1874, AR 100 falus, Radhanpur, 1867//AH1285, also citing Queen Victoria on the reverse; KM-6 for 1867 has been published only for AH1284 and 1286, except for one example on CoinArchives sold in our Auction 31, lot 2596, XF, RR." Radhanpur was a princely state in the west of India near Baroda and Jhalawar. It is now part of Gujarat state. Its rulers were Muslims, hence the AH dating on the coins. This type was struck 1867-70. We are unsure of the face value of this coin but it probably traded for a rupee, based on the weight.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specifications: silver, this specimen 11.51 g.
Catalog reference: KM-6.
