This specimen was lot 1363 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $456. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Prussia. 20 Marks, 1907-A. Wilhelm II. NGC graded MS-61." This specimen is one of a type struck 1890-1913 at Berlin (mintmark "A") and Hamburg (mintmark "J"). Most of the later dates, including this one, are common but the proofs are rare.

Recorded mintage: 2,576,286 plus proofs. Hamburg did not strike any in 1907.

Specification: 7.965 g, 0.900 fine gold, .230 troy oz AGW, lettered edge.
