This specimen was lot 47066 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. French India. Fanon, 1771-P. PCGS MS-63." This type is listed for 1738, 1743-44, 1749-55, 1766-68, 1771, 1774-78, 1782, 1788, 1792 altho other dates may exist. This type is not supposed to exist in the quality shown here. One rupee was eight fanon.
