This specimen was lot 32620 in Heritage sale 3089 (Dallas, TX, January 2021), where it sold for $5,520. The catalog description[1] noted, "Germany. Pomerania - Swedish Occupation. Carl XII Medallic Taler 1709 MS62 Prooflike NGC. Occupation issue struck in the name of Carl XII of Sweden. Boldly struck, with soft iridescent highlights held within the crevices of Carl's hair and the outer legends, the fields patinated in metallic hues and bearing significant reflectivity that contrasts clearly against frosted central design motifs." Davenport lists this in the section on "pseudo-crowns".
