Peru 1868-YB sol

The specimen shown is one of a series struck 1864-76 at the Lima mint. There are many varieties and subtypes of this basic design and later issues were emitted 1879-97 and 1914-16. The mintage of this date is not recorded but later issues were in the millions. Assayer YB is noted for 1859-69.
