Sincona sale 77, lot 2682

This specimen was lot 2682 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$304 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALY | Vatican - Church State. Gregor XVI. 1831-1846. Scudo 1842.Anno XI, Roma. Gutes sehr schön. Kleine Randfehle. (Italy, Papal States, Gregory XVI, 1831-46, scudo of 1842, year XI, Rome mint. Good very fine, Minor edge flaws.)"

This type was struck 1835-46 at Rome and at Bologna 1835, 1838 only.
