This specimen was lot 1629 in Künker sale 403 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €650 (about US$853 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"PAPST PIUS VI., 1775-1799. Die provisorische Regierung in Bologna, 1796-1797. Scudo (10 Paoli) 1796. Fast vorzüglich. (Papal States, Pius VI, 1775-99, provisional government in Bologna, scudo or ten paoli of 1796. About extremely fine.)"

This date is a two year type struck in 1796-97 for Pius VI (1775-99) at the Bologna mint. In Bologna, one scudo = 10 paoli = 100 bolognini. The scudo superseded the piastra after 1740. The provisional government also issued a half scudo.
