The first specimen was lot 3542 in Sincona sale 43 (Zürich, October 2017), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$358 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALY, Vatican - Church State, Clemens XIV. 1769-1774 Zecchino A II/1770. Selten. Fast sehr schön. Leicht gewellt. (Papal States, Clement XIV, 1769-74, zecchino of 1770, year 2. Rare, About very fine, Slightly wavy planchet.)"

The second specimen was lot 34362 in Heritage sale 3082 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $1,110. The catalog description[2] noted, "Italy: Papal States. Clement XIV gold Zecchino Anno II (1770) MS64 NGC, Rome mint. Fully expressed and brilliantly satiny, the brightness of the surfaces undiluted by the nearly 250 years separating the coin's emission from the mint from the present day." The third specimen was lot 56816 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $552. The catalog description[3] noted, "ITALY. Papal States. Zecchino, 1770 Year II. Clement XIV. PCGS AU-50." This type is recorded for 1769-73 and is also known as a ducat. A "sede vacante" issue is also known for 1769.

Specification: 3.45 g, .998 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW, the first specimen 3.41 g, the third specimen is 3.42 g.
